Membership of the ACPF is made up of companies and associations across Australia and New Zealand that have an interest in prawn fishing. Companies, associations and individuals are welcome to Apply For Membership. The ACPF is governed by a Board of Directors and operations are conducted by an Executive Officer and Research Extension Manager. The Board of Directors are nominated and elected from within its membership, as required under the ACPF's Constitution.

Stephen owns six trawlers that operate in the Queensland East Coast Trawl Fishery. He is a member of the Queensland Seafood Industry Association (QSIA) and is currently a member of the QSIA Trawl Committee. Stephen brings a wealth of knowledge to the position of Chairman, with a particular focus on strategic planning, fishing industry threats and security of the fishing industry for the future.
Stephen has over 35 years' experience in a variety of roles in the fishing industry, including the last 16 years with MG Kailis Group. He was an inaugural Director and Chair of ACPF and currently holds a position on the Australian Seafood CRC Board. Stephen has extensive experience in the Western Australian seafood industry, especially in research and development and has served on the WA Fisheries Research Advisory Board and been a Director on WA Fishing Industry Council.
Kim is a licence holder within the Spencer Gulf (SA) prawn fishery and skippers his vessel during the fishing season. He is a member of the Spencer Gulf and West Coast Prawn Fishermen's Association's and holds a position on the association's Committee At Sea. While a new Director of the ACPF, Kim brings enthusiasm and commitment to the prawn industry and the Board. He is dedicated and committed to improving the performance of the prawn industry.
Greg has extensive experience in the fishing industry including managing the Townsville Ross River Marina and local seafood company NQ Marina Fresh Seafoods. His association with the prawn industry in northern Queensland widens the ACPF‘s scope of coverage and understanding of issues faced. Greg's passion for the prawn industry and unique creative flair provides the ACPF with fresh outlooks and some laughs!
Darren Ward has been a professional fisherman for 33 years and is currently an owner of two trawlers with licences to fish within NSW, QLD and Torres Strait. He has been the New South Wales industry representation for the past 12 years for the Ocean Trawl Fishery. Darren has also been the past NSW representative on the board of directors for the Australian Council of Prawn Fisheries. His understanding of fishing activities in NSW ensures that coverage of prawn fishing areas is complete across Australia.
Terry has been involved in the prawn industry for 13 years in his capacity as Manager of Australian Bight Seafood in Port Lincoln and recently as Chief Executive Officer of the South Australian Prawn Co-operative Limited. Whilst Terry’s role is very much land based he is working with prawn fishermen from the Spencer Gulf Prawn Fishery on a daily basis and is passionate about the future of the seafood industry in general.
Dylan graduated from the Australian Maritime College (AMC) in 1999 and went on to join the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) before joining Austral Fisheries in 2002. His apprenticeship involved time at sea in the company’s fleet; both the prawn fleet in the north and the southern fleet fishing for Patagonian Toothfish. Dylan is a passionate supporter of the Australian industry and is now responsible for sales and marketing for the all of the Austral wild catch. Dylan is also a mad keen recreational fisherman.
